2020 Special Guests

Pat Booker is an Irish Bard, living in the province of Ulster. She had a brief career as an Oxford-educated Barrister (a lawyer who specializes in courtroom advocacy) but found out there were more important things in life. She now trains people who work for the UK’s Blood and Organ donation services, while living contentedly with rescue greyhounds on her few acres of land. She believes in loving the land beneath your feet, laughing often and hugging as many Druids as possible.
Pat's keynote address will be Gods, Fairies and Cattle Rustling: An introduction to the Irish Myths (see Workshops).

Arthur Billington is an Honorary Bard in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids and the founding member of R Cajun & The Zydeco Bros. With a background in folk music, Arthur has gone on to perform extensively as bluesman Z.Z.Birmingham and with his family band--daughter Ursula (Weil Influenz) on fiddle, wife Penny (Carmen Piranha) on harmonies and percussion, and son Jake (Elmos Grandez) on bass. Forty years in the business, he's no stranger to TV, National Radio and major festivals. ZZ's engaging stage presence, compelling vocals and off-the-wall humor make for a truly unique act. Arthur discovered Druidry at OBOD’s first SummerCamp in 1993 and soon gained a reputation as a formidable enabler of others to blossom and shine--camp, residential event or more formal circumstances; wherever there’s a call for a fund of music, story and song: in ritual, eisteddfod and round the campfire. His accessible style and versatility insists on the music in every one of us.
Arthur will present a talk on Natural Magic and the Blues (see Workshops).
