Camp Rules
COVID-19 vaccinations: All attendees must have completed at least a primary series of a COVID-19 series. You may be asked to provide documentation when you check in at camp..
We will have a good many outdoor activities, so please choose your gear and camp clothing accordingly. Weather in south Louisiana in the spring can vary from chilly to hot, and often does so in the same weekend! And rain is always a good possibility.
Onsite accommodations: The group camp has two ADA-compliant dormitories and tent camping space adjacent to the building is available.
Offsite accommodations: Cabins, tent camping, and RV/camper sites are available in the main part of the park (check GoOutdoorsLouisiana for availability and location; "unimproved" sites have water, "improved" sites have water and electricity, and "deluxe" sites have water, electricity, and sewer). For anyone wishing to stay offsite, hotel and B&B accommodations are available in nearby Mandeville and Madisonville.

Children: Children under the age of 18 must be in the company of a custodial parent or legal guardian to attend the GCG.
Children under 12 must be supervised at all times; this includes trips to the dining hall. If your child is an early riser, make sure he or she does not leave your sleeping area until you can accompany them.
Do not leave children, of any age, unattended near any body of water.
Parents are, at all times, responsible for their children. Parents who do not, in the opinion of the GCG organizers, exercise good parental care of their children will be asked to leave.
Animals: Pets, except for service animals, are prohibited in all group camps, other enclosed structures, swimming areas, and cabins not designated as dog friendly. Only seeing-eye dogs are permitted in overnight facilities. Pet owners are responsible for any injury or damage caused by their pets. Dogs and other pets are not allowed to run freely on park property. For more information on pet restrictions, please call 985-624-4443 or 888-677-3668 or email [email protected].
If you will be bringing a seeing-eye dog, please note this on your registration form.
Vending: Table space will be made available for individuals to offer items for sale, but we ask that the items be related somehow to Druidry or earth-centered spirituality.
Local Wildlife:
Please be aware of the local wildlife. There may be alligators in the water (do not feed the alligators!) and snakes just about anywhere. Bears are an outside possibility; wild hogs are also possible. Other resources you may find of interest are A Birder's Guide to Louisiana (downloadable pdf) and the online Species Field Guide from Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries.
